Runners and walkers from companies throughout Doral recently took to the streets for the Doral Corporate Run, a 5k-race presented by Skyros Sports in Downtown Doral. The event took place December 7 in Downtown Doral Park located at 8395 NW 53rd Street.

“Doral truly is a dynamic city with a robust workforce – but we recognized it lacked a corporate run that could bring everyone together for a wellness-friendly, team building activity outside the office,” said Ruben Figueredo, CEO of Race Time and organizer of the Doral Corporate Run.

“We were pleased and enlightened to see so many company teams join in the event by competing to be the ‘Fastest Company in Doral’.”

Of the $30 per person ticket price to enter the event, 20 percent went to directly benefit one of the Doral Corporate Run’s charity partners, including:

  • John Hopkins Children’s Hospital Network

  • Organization for Autism Research

  • Feeding South Florida

  • Special Olympics South Florida

Event organizers also encouraged participants and spectators to bring canned food and other non-perishable donations to the event for a food drive benefitting Feeding South Florida.

All participants of the closed racecourse through Downtown Doral, Miami’s premier town center, received a custom BIB number, finisher’s medal, access to the Corporate Village, and live music and entertainment. Also worthy of note: This was a chip-timed event, timed by RaceTime
