Mr. Martinez graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979 from the University of Havana and received was registered in Florida as a Professional Engineer in 1997. His Electrical/ITS/Lighting experience includes roadway lighting, ITS design, lift station facilities as well as the design of an electrical system for commercial, industrial, healthcare facilities, shopping centers, and condominiums.
He has worked as Designer of Record in projects such as the SR-826/SR-836 Interchange, Palmetto Section 2 (Bird Road and Miller Drive), N.W. 87th Avenue Interchange reconstruction at SR-836, M-D WASD North District Waste Water Treatment Plant, M-D WASD South Dade Waste Water Treatment Plant, North Beacon Lift Station, as well as the Lift Station and emergency generator design for Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami, and the City of Miami Beach.
Mr. Martinez is a member of the National Fire Protection Association. Mr. Martinez has vast experience in the selection, specification and testing of engine-generators and automatic transfer switch operations feeding buildings and pump stations including a provision to connect portable stand-by generators.
